有网友指出这是一篇官样文章（red tape），确实如此。然而在实际工作中，译者不得不处理各种题材和风格的文本，译者受委托人委托从事翻译是翻译的常态，官样文章也是其中的一种形式。就该段文字而言，所讨论的教育话题并不难以被英语读者理解，但在翻译时仍有一些要注意的地方，比如开头的时间就应该具体化，即February 28th, 2010，纲要的名称尽量采用权威机构发布的译文，中间提到的工作原则最难处理，主要是汉语四字格在英语中没有对应的形式与之匹配，最后还有“民族地区”这个词组，实际上指的就是少数民族地区。
具体到翻译，““教改”方案”翻译成 “educational reform” program是正确的，同时也可以说 “education reform” plan(s)。““优先发展，育人为本，改革创新，促进公平，提高质量”的工作方针”翻译起来有点麻烦，由于四字格的使用，汉语多有省略，英译时需要补充一些信息，同时也要照顾语言形式的工整，本人拟翻译成：“the working principles of giving priority to the development of education, emphasizing the cultivation of talents, pursuing reform and renovation, promoting the equity, and enhancing the quality”。“向农村地区、边远贫困地区和民族地区“倾斜””一句中，“倾斜”的意思就是提供优惠政策(preferential treatment)，网友的想法是正确的，但在具体处理上稍显不足。我这里翻译一下最后一句：“The education equity, the new outline declares, consists in equal opportunities. It highlights promoting the balanced development of education and offering help for the disadvantaged groups. Essential measures include the reasonable allocation of educational resources, a preferential treatment of rural, poor and remote, and ethnic areas, and the narrowing of educational gaps between different areas and groups.”

这篇文字在网友中引起广泛的兴趣，因此也提供了很多出色的译文，译文中使用了the tide of wooing extra thin body, her infatuation with the “super skinny” trend, 以及overwhelmed the whole world等非常形象的词汇。然而，要正确翻译该段文字，需要注意的地方很多。首先，美国的衣服尺寸是个专业概念，是指the standard clothing size in US catalog sizes，零号（Size 0）是其中最小的一种尺码，但现在概念扩大到既可以指骨感的女人及其身材，也可以指追求骨感的潮流。The Skinny首字母大写，可以更形象地描写骨感女人，在整个翻译中，size 0, size 0 figure, the Skinny, a skinny figure可以交替使用，避免重复，这是英语篇章用词的重要要求。“趋之若鹜”词典中翻译成scramble for，但我感觉用在这里并不到位，最好能用英语的一个习语来翻译，因此我选择了fall head over heels for来对译，是否妥帖，还请各位网友参与讨论。
